> The following article is meant to serve you as a guide to peace with God and to heaven:
Heaven is a wonderful place. A place of peace, purity, holiness, happiness. God dwells there. Nothing that does not suit Him can be there.
A long time ago, God gave His people Israel a yardstick in the form of the 10 Commandments. By this they could measure whether they fit to God. We find these 10 commandments in the Bible, in the 2nd book of Moses (Exodus) chapter 20.
The first commandment I am the Lord your God. You shall have no other gods besides me.
The second commandment You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
The third commandment You shall keep the holiday holy.
The fourth commandment You shall honor your father and mother.
The fifth commandment You shall not kill.
The sixth commandment You shall not commit adultery.
The seventh commandment You shall not steal.
The eighth commandment You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
The ninth commandment You shall not covet your neighbor’s house.
The tenth commandment You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, servant, maid, cattle, or anything else your neighbor has.
These 10 commandments are good. Really good! Imagine if we humans would keep them. Life on earth would be wonderful. But unfortunately, I have never found a person who has kept the 10 Commandments in deeds and thoughts.
Conclusion: We are separated from God. Here on earth and in eternity. And we have only ourselves to blame. We have no way to heaven. Despite all the efforts of religions.
God is just, but God is also love. That is why He wants to save us. He sent His own Son. Jesus died for our sins on the cross. The way to God is through the cross.
The solution to our problem is prayer, a personal conversation with God your Creator. Talk to Him. Admit before God that you have disobeyed Him, sinned.
